CCP have kept their management in more of a family structure, rather than a rigid "we just want your money" corporation like SOE. CCP does listen, they just can't comment much because the players would use those comments as leverage.
I, too, was shafted by the new Jedi and the NGE downgrade (see what I did there? ) after having been unlocked for a long time. Hell, I was the Imperial leader of a whole server (Tarquinas) and completed things that no one else had. Like soloing the Avatar station back when it was nigh-impossible, or completing the entire Kashyyk run solo, space part included.
I hate SOE with a passion for making me abandon that character. It's been the only MMO I've risen to the very top in and I loved it dearly. -----

I know LA forced it upon SOE, doesn't make me hate them any less.
Mr Lucas has forgotten his art. About pleasing people with the things he creates. It's all about the money now. You can see that plainly enough with the Star Wars prequels, designed from the ground up purely for a new generation of Star Wars fans. Not made for the current fans. Everything is going the way of dumbing down and appeasing gaming kids with ADD.
Oh dear, I feel old now. I'm only 27. -----

I hate to say it.. but it's the one thing Second Life is good for. If you left SWG but still long for Star Wars roleplay.. go to Second Life. There is a huge, vibrant, Star Wars community there. Simulators (planets) are player-owned and player-run, they go up and down all the time, but it's a decent timewaster.
I used to run my own sim of Byss there, but it got far too expensive to keep that dedicated server running.
Just a FYI for the Star Wars people in the thread. -----

Originally by: Sinola They did more: They threw a 2 weeks later worthless expansion on the market, well knowing that they make it worthless.
I bought that "Trials of Obi-Wan" expansion when it released, before I realised my mistake. I e-mailed them for a refund.. and they waited 6 days until after the cut-off period with a "sorry, it's past the cut off period, we have your money, hahahaha" reply. Even though they had 6 full days notice.
